The Man United fans are getting the rounds in at the Transfer Tavern and they seem spoilt for choice on who to start in the opening game of the season.

Manchester United finally look like they’re climbing back up the ladder of both domestic and European football after a very successful season last time out.

Jose Mourinho has been what’s missing for the Red Devils since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement as he brought The Community Shield, The League Cup, and The Europa League to Old Trafford.

Heading into the new campaign, Mourinho has one of the strongest squads in the Premier League at his disposal with world class talents in all areas of the pitch.

Unfortunately for some within the United ranks, this means they won’t be getting started in the opening game of the season.

Coming up against West Ham on the opening weekend, Mourinho will want to put his best team forward.

With that being said, here are two Man U players who are not guaranteed a start against the Hammers.

Marcus Rashford

So far Marcus Rashford has had an excellent pre-season.

However, Mourinho isn’t about to not start the striker he spent £75 million on – Romelu Lukaku, that’s just a fact.

A fantastic player at such a young age, Rashford will need to force his way into the side like last season.

An upside for him is that he will be the second choice striker this season as opposed to battling with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney for that spot.

Marouane Fellaini

The man with the crazy hair isn’t exactly the most popular player amongst the Man U fans.

With elbows flying left right and centre, you never know if Fellaini will make it through the full 90 minutes without seeing red.

A transfer target of Mourinho’s, Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches has reportedly come out and said he wants to leave the German champions (sportsbild – via the Metro.)

Should Mourinho pick him up, he will surely replace the Belgian in the centre of midfield.
