A week or so ago, Liverpool had been linked with a move for Chelsea winger Willian (SPORT via Sport Witness).
The Brazil international is out of contract at the end of this season, having spent the last seven years at Stamford Bridge. During that time, he has made 329 appearances for the Blues, scoring 59 goals whilst also helping them to two Premier League titles.

However, no new deal has been struck with his employers, meaning that he could well be out of the door soon. And it had been reported that the Reds were ready to offer him “favourable conditions” in an attempt to get him to move Anfield.

James Pearce, though, has poured cold water on those claims. He said that there is no truth in said rumours, and he will not be on the European champions’ radar in the summer.
