Wolves pair Francisco Trincao and Hwang Hee-chan came in for criticism from journalist Tim Spiers after the 1-0 defeat away to Newcastle United.
The Lowdown: Wolves suffer damaging defeat
Wanderers made the trip to St James' Park on Friday evening knowing that victory would take them ahead of Manchester United and West Ham into sixth place in the Premier League table.
Unfortunately, things didn't pan out that way, as Chris Wood's dubious second-half penalty proved to be the difference between the two sides - the New Zealand star was unfortunate not to open the scoring earlier after a bizarre mix-up at the back for Wolves.
It was a hugely disappointing night for Bruno Lage and his men, who never got going at any point and didn't really offer any serious attacking threat.

The Latest: Spiers slams duo
Taking to Twitter after the game, Spiers gave a very short but emphatic assessment of Trincao and Hwang's showings:
"A really frustrating evening. Missing a few key players but the ones selected didn't do themselves justice. Trincao and Hwang anonymous."

The Verdict: Hugely ineffective
Neither Trincao nor Hwang did anywhere near enough to justify their selection - in truth, it was an evening that summed up the pair's season, in many ways.
Between them, the attacking duo have only scored six goals and registered two assists in the league this season, in a combined 48 appearances. That is simply not good enough and has played a part in Wolves being goal-shy.
Both Trincao and Hwang are on loan currently and it will be interesting to see if the former joins permanently - the pair didn't provide a single shot-creating action (shot or key pass) on Friday, symbolic of their ineffectiveness in front of goal this term.
