Woodward needs to ensure he hands Jose Mourinho big money for these two stars ASAP

The Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping to see a few new faces coming into Old Trafford this January.

Ed Woodward has really upped his transfer game in recent seasons after his disaster of the first one in charge in the post-Fergie era. Indeed, Mourinho will surely be handing him a list of players he’d like to come in the door, and despite being heavily linked with Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, our fans would love to see many more reinforcements in the squad.

If the self-proclaimed Special One is to hunt down local rivals Man City in the league and deliver the Premier League title to Old Trafford, he’ll surely need to bring in some quality to the squad.

Our bar is buzzing with names linked to United, but the two that is that are mostly being talked about should add the depth needed to compete in all three remaining competitions.

Our landlord takes a little more in-depth look at the two in question…

Radja Nainggolan

The Roma midfield enforcer is a target for many a club around Europe, having been out of favour since December last year, the Belgian will be looking to gain some first team minutes to rediscover his form and keep his place in the national team.

United are in desperate need of midfield options, along with a couple of injuries, the Red Devils should be looking to add depth tot he squad in preparation for the second half of the season. Seemingly out of the picture at Roma, he would be an excellent foil for the likes of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba.

Lucas Moura

The PSG winger is the perfect fit for United. Indeed, Mourinho clearly wants a left winger to bring balance to the team with no real out and out left winger within the squad.

Moura also hasn’t featured much this season the French League and, as with every player will be looking to make the move to gain more minutes, especially with it being a World Cup year.

By bringing Moura to the club, it would free up Mourinho to move both Martial and Rashford into their preferred position in the middle of the park.
