Wayne Rooney is a Manchester United legend. With the club’s all-time goalscoring record his own and just about every major trophy lifted in his time there, you would think Red Devils supporters would be reluctant to see their captain move on.
Alas, that’s not really been the case today in the Transfer Tavern, with a whole host of fans reacting positively to news that West Ham are ready to take ‘Wazza’ off of their hands at the end of the season.

Rooney’s performances have been on the, no pun intended, wane for a while now and with Jose Mourinho likely to need to reduce the club’s massive wage bill before a marquee signing can be thought about ahead of 2017/18, the skipper may just have to go.
And that’s what supporters want to happen. Indeed, plenty want the highest possible fee for him and for his salary to be removed from the equation, with some even suggesting that Romelu Lukaku and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should be targeted!
