The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are feeling pretty glum today. It has been a very poor week for the Blues, having suffered back-to-back defeats against both Bournemouth and Watford.
In truth, it was tough to see how Chelsea could do any worse than they did against Bournemouth, but they achieved that feat quite easily on Monday – putting in arguably their worst performance of the season against Watford.
Lacking quality, composure and any modicum of effort, the Blues looked unlikely to get anything out of the game from the first minute.
Indeed, nobody in blue really covered themselves in glory, but one player that has drawn particular attention in the Transfer Tavern is Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Sent off after half an hour, it was the Frenchman’s worst performance in a Chelsea shirt yet, and that’s saying something. He’s yet to really adjust to life in England, and there is a long way for him to go if he wants to succeed at Stamford Bridge.
Unsurprisingly, the Chelsea fans over on Twitter have rightfully criticised the Frenchman for his display, with one fan describing his performance as one of the worst they have ever seen.
