Arsenal patrons in the Transfer Tavern today are keeping their heads down, after another atrocious display in the Champions League last night.
The Gunners entered the second leg with the impossible task of overturning a 5-1 deficit but at least gave a solid account of themselves in the first half, finishing it a goal up courtesy of a Theo Walcott strike.
But the Gunners completely capitulated after the interval, conceding five times to a rampant Bayern Munich attack. That made the aggregate score 10-2, inevitably placing even firmer question marks over the head of manager Arsene Wenger.
In addition to the immediate fate of Le Prof, Alexis Sanchez once again found himself at the centre of attention after being unexpectedly dropped to the bench for Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool last weekend.
The Chile international, who has cast a frustrated figure in recent weeks according to our Arsenal punters, was subbed off in the 73rd minute and later spotted laughing with Petr Cech – seemingly at how disgraceful the Gunners’ performance was.

Some in the Tavern have inevitably questioned Sanchez’s attitude and whether he’s really a team player. But that certainly hasn’t put Chelsea fans off the idea of the South American swapping the Emirates Stadium for Stamford Bridge – in fact, Blues fans on Twitter have been encouraging him to make the move…
