Jose Mourinho isn’t a manager famed for his use of young players, and that’s been a constant source of frustration for fans of Man Utd and his previous clubs, too. At Old Trafford, youth integration is a historical facet of the club’s goals, and they don’t want that change.
Whenever a new manager is linked with the post then, attention is immediately turned to the young players that could be impacted by a deal, and the latest boss linked with the Man Utd post – via the Sun – is Zinedine Zidane, who is currently a free agent after leaving Real Madrid.
Mourinho’s had a tough summer, and whilst he isn’t likely to be replaced immediately, it seems as though Man Utd are preparing a contingency plan.
Zidane himself isn’t really known for developing youngsters, but, at Real Madrid, there is an abundance of young talent that he found difficult to ignore, and he’d be wise to continue looking towards the academy at the club in search of new talent.
If he were to move to Man Utd, there are a few youngsters at the club that could make a real impact at Old Trafford, and perhaps the allure of linking up with their old manager could tempt them.

Theo Hernandez only joined Real Madrid in 2017, but it’s been far from plain sailing for him.
It was always going to be tough for him to break into the first team in the place of Marcelo, and unfortunately for him, it’s a battle that he has seemingly lost – for the time being at least.
That said, there is no doubting his quality. The Frenchman offers the perfect balance of attack and defence, and his ability with the ball at his feet is second to none.
Man Utd lack depth at left-back, and if Luke Shaw isn’t an option, Hernandez would be a fantastic acquisition.
Borja Mayoral made 14 league appearances under Zidane last season, and like Hernandez, he’s a player with bags of talent.
A striker by trade, he only managed to bag 3 league goals last term, but still, his natural ability was evident.
He’s brilliant on the ball, he’s mobile and agile, and at 21-years-old, there is so much scope for further progression.
Zidane seems to like him, and given Man Utd’s needs for further offensive depth, a move for him would make sense. They can’t go on with just one forward – Romelu Lukaku – and whilst Mayoral wouldn’t be a regular starter, a squad role makes sense.
