Our landlord here at the Transfer Tavern has been very impressed by the start that West Brom have made to the campaign.

They are currently very much so in contention for a Europa League spot, but for that to continue they must make a few changes this window.

Tony Pulis made some brilliant additions at the end of the summer window, by bringing in the likes of Nacer Chadli – who has been an absolute revelation this season for the Baggies.

The Welshman will surely be hoping for much of the same in this window as they look to try and secure their best finish in thirty years.

Many doubted the way in which they played football but this season they’ve adopted a different style to that of Pulis teams in the past.

It is important that they have the right players at the club in order to maintain the start they’ve made – with that in mind the Baggies have to simply conduct this transfer business this month…

The Napoli forward has been out of favour in Naples and is looking to make a move away from the club, and if recent speculation by the Birmingham Mail is anything to go by, then the Italian international could be on his way to the Hawthorns.

What a coup it would be for Baggies to land the 25-year-old and also a brilliant statement of intent from the club and its owners.

OUT: SAIDO BERHAINO

This has been a transfer story for the past four transfer windows that the English born forward Saido Berhaino will be leaving the Hawthorns with many clubs interested.
The player hasn’t been in his best form this season even being forced to lose weight by the manager.

He’s clearly an unhappy player and with the possible arrival of Gabbiadini and Rondon already being at the club, it’s hard to see where he would fit into the starting XI.

IN: WILLIAM CARVALHO

The Euro 2016 winner is one of the most sought after talents in Europe and reports coming from Portugal and recently picked up by the Sun, are that after a failed attempt to bring him to the Hawthorns in the summer, that they will try and land the 24-year-old this January with a bid of around £26 million already being apparently rejected by Sporting.

It could mean a big fee would be needed but what a player and a massive statement it would be by the Baggies.

OUT: JONAS OLSSON

The veteran Swedish defender has found the amount of time he’s getting on the pitch limited, and it could be time for the 32-year-old to look for a new club.

With Evans and McAuley forging quite the partnership in this so far successful season for West Brom, it’s hard to see Olsson getting much time going forward.

When he’s been called on he’s looked out of place and lacking of pace to keep up with the demands that is the Premier League.
