It has been a solid few weeks for the Gunners, and whilst there were a lot of sorrows being drowned earlier this season, things have definitely turned around lately.
With wins coming frequently both continentally and domestically, there’s a lot to be happy about at the moment, but more is definitely needed in order for the Gunners to catch up with the two Manchester clubs.
A title challenge is the least that will be expected of Arsene Wenger this summer, but at present, his squad just isn’t good enough. A few additions are essential in January, but in order to fund those deals, a few departures may be required too.
Theo Walcott has been touted a potential departee in the new year, with the Englishman already considering his future according to the Gambling Times and the Sun.
It would mark the end of an era for Arsenal, with Walcott being an ever-present in the squad over the last few years, but given his lack of regular game time, it’s a departure that makes sense. But if he does leave, could anyone else follow him out of the door?

Jack Wilshere
Jack Wilshere has looked pretty good when given a chance this season, but that doesn’t change the fact that his Arsenal career is hanging by a thread.
Injuries have meant that he has lost his place in the first team, and though he’s been given occasional chances, he’ll undoubtedly be keen to see more game time.
He could be forced to leave the club in order to get that, and if he stays fit between now and January, there will likely be no shortage of suitors.
A technical master, he would be a great option for a number of Premier League sides.
Mathieu Debuchy
You’d be forgiven if you had forgotten that Mathieu Debuchy was still at Arsenal, but the Frenchman is, technically, still on their books.
He’s hardly played in recent years, and with the emergence of Hector Bellerin, that’s unlikely to change.
The Frenchman is a decent player, but he’s hardly proven his worth in London, and with his career likely to wind down soon, a move away does make a lot of sense.
The Gunners won’t get much money for him, but this move is still best for business.
