Everton supporters have been in fine voice in the Transfer Tavern in the last few weeks since the appointment of Sam Allardyce as manager, who has masterminded their rise from third-bottom in the Premier League to ninth in the table.
The former England boss took over from the sacked Ronald Koeman at the end of November and has since overseen four wins and three draws from his seven games in charge, moving the Toffees away from the relegation mire. And their unbeaten run continued on Boxing Day as Allardyce’s side took a point from their trip to West Brom with what was their fifth clean sheet under the 63-year-old, setting them up perfectly for what could be a much brighter and more successful 2018.
Subsequently, there have been many thrilled and upbeat Evertonians in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are relishing the New Year and what their side could go on to achieve under the former Crystal Palace and West Ham boss.
In the meantime though, there has been plenty for our resident Toffees fans to get their teeth into, not least recent reports suggesting that they have stepped up the chase to land Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi in January.
The 29-year-old made the move to the La Liga outfit back in 2015 and helped them win the Europa League back in 2016, only to fall out of favour this season and thus throw his future at the club into huge doubt.
And it’s doubt Allardyce’s Everton are reportedly seeking to exploit in the January window, and were N’Zonzi to indeed make the move to Goodison Park, here are TWO other stars who could follow him to the Merseyside outfit…
There have been 534 goals scored in the 199 Premier League matches played so far this season. That, dear friends, is an average of 2.68 per game. This is one of the reasons we have selected a bumper +1.5 goals coupon with excellent LeoVegas odds for this Saturday. Check out our reasoning—plus an absolute winner of an EFL outright win fourfold—in the latest Accy Show!
James Tomkins

Centre-back James Tomkins worked under Everton chief Allardyce at both Crystal Palace and West Ham, and could be about to reunite with the 63-year-old at Goodison Park as well.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a £20 million move to Merseyside in recent times as Allardyce seeks to improve his backline, a backline that certainly isn’t getting any younger given that Phil Jagielka is 35, and both Leighton Baines and Ashley Williams are 33.
And with Tomkins having performed well under Allardyce at the aforementioned duo, it’s a move which could well take place next month as the Everton boss seeks to enhance his defensive options.
Cenk Tosun

Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun has been in sensational goal-scoring form in the last 18 months or so, netting 20 times last season to help the club secure a second successive Super Lig title.
And with 14 goals in just 24 games for the side already this term, the 26-year-old continues to go from strength to strength, and could well be the answer to Everton’s goal-scoring woes given they’ve managed just 24 Premier League goals this season, and ultimately haven’t replaced Romelu Lukaku.
Interest in Tosun has somewhat developed in recent times to suggest that a deal could well be forthcoming, as Allardyce seeks to stamp his authority on proceedings at Goodison Park.
