2 reasons Joe Hart is the signing Arsenal desperately need most this summer

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern were delighted when they saw reports linking Arsenal with a move for Joe Hart…

Hart, who is currently on loan at Torino, was thrust out of the first team picture by Pep Guardiola at the start of the 2016/17 season – with no route back into the side at the Etihad likely on the horizon.

It is a disappointing fall from grace for the Englishman, who has been a vital part of the Citizens recent success – having been a constant over the last few years.

Man City’s loss could surely be Arsenal’s gain though, and whilst a few have questioned where Joe Hart would fit in at the Emirates – our landlord thinks that it could just be the perfect deal.

With that said, 2 reasons Joe Hart is the signing Arsenal desperately need most this summer…

 Petr Cech

There’s no denying it – Petr Cech is a man out of form.

He has been a vitally consistent part of the Premier League for years, first with Chelsea and now with Arsenal, but as of late he has really struggled.

He was at fault for Fabregas’ goal against the Gunners last weekend, and it is clear that his days are numbered as Arsenal’s number one.

Wenger needs to bring in a replacement, could Joe Hart be it?

The Perfect Solution

In simple terms, Joe Hart is the perfect man to be between the sticks for the Gunners.

At 29-years-old, he is experienced – having won a plethora of trophies with Man City – but he is also still relatively young.

He is 6 years younger than Petr Cech, meaning that the Gunners would be able to get more than a few seasons out of him, making him the perfect long-term solution.

Cech was already in his 30s when he was signed, hence why his tenure has been relatively short. Time to bring Hart in.
