The BBC have reported that Harry Wilson has joined Derby County on loan for the upcoming season.
Harry Wilson has only made one senior appearance for Liverpool, but is highly rated at Anfield and has already been capped 3 times by Wales.
The 21-year-old impressed for Hull in the Championship last time out, and will be hoping to take another step forward with his performances this season.
If Wilson is to ever break into Jurgen Klopp’s first team, then he needs these loan experiences to go well and aid his development. He is not alone in that either, as Liverpool have plenty of young prospects who would benefit from a stint of regular first team football elsewhere.
Since exploding onto the scene and becoming Liverpool’s youngest ever goalscorer back in 2016, Woodburn has failed to attain regular first team football for the Reds.
Another Wales international, Woodburn needs regular minutes if he is to maintain his place in Ryan Giggs’ plans, and force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s thinking too.
A career-first loan spell, at either Championship or lower Premier League level, is exactly what Woodburn needs to keep his career moving forward.
Since the 2015/16 campaign, when Ojo managed 11 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, the 21-year-old has enjoyed successful loan spells with Wolves and Fulham.
Having secured promotion with Fulham last season, a temporary return to Craven Cottage this season, as a Premier League player, would be the ideal next step in the young Englishman’s development.
If he can maintain his form in the top flight, then it may well convince the management at Liverpool that Ojo has a future in red.
