A few sides in the Premier League have started utilising a formation with 3 defenders – and they think that Arsene Wenger should get involved.
Wenger has enough central defenders to make it work, and his attack could prove deadly with such a dramatic shift in tactics.
With that said, this experimental Arsenal XI Wenger could field against Bournemouth
GK – Petr Cech
The formation may change, but the goalkeeper will not.
Petr Cech is as solid as ever – and will play.
CB – Gabrel Paulista
A formation switch allows a route back into the team for Gabriel – who has been shaky since arriving in London.
The assurances of having 2 central defenders alongside him could work well – and he could adapt nicely to this system.
CB – Laurent Koscielny
The main man at the back.
Koscielny has been a constant at Arsenal for years, and a formation switch certainly won’t change that.
