Liverpool signed a number of players from the Bundesliga this summer as Jurgen Klopp began to put his stamp on his new look side.
Two players – centre back Ragnar Klavan and keeper Alex Manninger – both joined the Reds from FC Augsburg; highly-rated centre half Joel Matip made the switch from Schalke; and finally the much sought after Mainz keeper Loris Karius moved to Anfield.
All 4 of their Bundesliga signings have settled well into life in the Premier League, most possibly due to the presence of Klopp himself – formerly of both Mainz and more famously Borussia Dortmund – alongside other former Bundesliga players such as Emre Can and Roberto Firmino.
Klopp is slowly building himself a squad that suits his management style and style of play, and will more than likely go to recruit further players from the continent in January, and indeed next summer having missed out on a number of key targets this summer.
It seems the German prefers the style of player developed in countries within Eastern Europe such as Austria, Holland and of course Germany – which appears to be his hunting ground of choice when it comes to finding new talent.
At may need to look no further, as these THREE budding Bundesliga talents should be the next on his enviable hit-list for the Reds…..
Mahmoud Dahoud
20-year-old Dahoud has become hot property following his unbelievable performances in the Bundesliga last season for current side Borussia Monchengladbach.
The Syrian born midfielder is the club’s prized asset, with his smooth and seemingly effortless play from the middle of the park providing a solid figure for the German club to shape their side around.
Dahoud is also an excellent passer of the ball and has plenty of energy to press the ball – something we know Jurgen Klopp is very keen on.
Joshua Kimmich
If you had watched any of the highlights of this weeks Champions League games then you probably would know his name by now, as Kimmich scored twice in Bayern Munich’s 5-0 thrashing of Rostov.
Carlo Ancelotti used the versatile player in a more advanced role during the game, and it appeared to pay-off as the young German was central to everything good Bayern did, and earned himself a well deserved man of the match award.
Kimmich can also play in near enough any position across the back four and look assured in his role.
Felix Passlack
Liverpool do need a new left back, that is for sure.
Ask any fan.
Passlack is one of the most exciting of that breed in world football, as the Borussia Dortmund defender has quickly become a first team regular for Thomas Tuchel’s side, displacing the long serving Lucas Piszczek with ease.
