3 Celtic players who’d be best off leaving the club this month – Agreed?

Discussing the nature of their campaign this far, the Celtic fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are quite simply delighted about the impact Brendan Rodgers has had on their beloved Bhoys.

The Hoops look pretty much imperious this term and almost every aspect of the squad appears to have improved under his stead, with the Scottish champions looking a completely different side. Rodgers has taken over a group of players who stagnated under Ronny Deila during his two seasons in charge.

Still, clearly, the ex-Liverpool chief is constructing a long-term rebuild at Parkhead and, while the squad have pretty much been completely revitalised during his short time in Glasgow, there’s little doubt there remains some deadwood clogging up the ranks in green and white.

With that in mind, here are THREE Celtic stars who’d surely benefit from leaving the club this month while they still can.

Do you agree?

Kris Commons

A loan spell with Hibernian wasn’t extended recently, presumably because of financial reasons, though Commons clearly has no future at Celtic.

He proved a hit at Easter Road during his short stint with former boss Neil Lennon and perhaps the 33-year-old should take stock and considering his footballing future, rather than his financial one.

Gary Mackay-Steven

Linked with a return to former club Dundee United, Gary Mackay-Steven has found first-team minutes hard to come by under Rodgers.

The 26-year-old could probably do with a stint away from Celtic to get his career back on track, before reassessing in the summer once he has his confidence back.

Efe Ambrose

The Nigerian is another fro the Neil Lennon era to his stock nosedive in recent months, having not made an appearance in green and white since July.

Clearly has no future left in Glasgow and, while some of our punters will thank him for the memories, should find pasture new as soon as possible,
