Crystal Palace are reportedly determined to keep Ismaïla Sarr beyond the January transfer window, with discussions over a new contract offering fresh hope that the winger will remain at Selhurst Park.

The Senegal international attracted significant attention during the summer, including reported interest from Liverpool and Galatasaray.

Although Palace rejected approaches for the 28-year-old, questions have continued over his future following a difficult start to the season.

Crystal Palace Want to Secure Sarr’s Future

According to Football Insider, Palace have held positive discussions with Sarr over a potential contract extension and are hopeful of reaching an agreement.

The club reportedly view the winger as an important part of manager Pierre Sage’s plans and are reluctant to consider offers in January.

That stance follows a summer in which Liverpool reportedly made an offer worth around £50 million for Sarr. Palace ultimately kept hold of the forward, while interest from Turkey and the Saudi Pro League has continued.

A new contract could help Palace protect their position and discourage potential suitors from pursuing a move in the coming months. However, an agreement has not yet been confirmed.

Galatasaray Could Return in January

Galatasaray remain one of the clubs to watch, having reportedly made an approach for Sarr during the summer transfer window.

Football Insider reports that the Turkish club could revisit their interest in January, particularly if the winger continues to struggle for regular playing time at Palace.

Sarr has endured a slow start to the campaign and has also dealt with fitness issues. His limited involvement has fuelled speculation about his future, although Palace are reportedly not allowing his recent lack of minutes to change their longer-term plans.

Liverpool were also linked with a move during the summer, but a January transfer to Anfield remains uncertain.
