Manchester City really are the spending giants of the Premier League and for their supporters, it’s great news.
No fee is too big and over the past few years, City fans have been able to watch some of the best grace the Etihad pitch.
The likes of Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero and even Robinho (who in his heyday was fantastic, remember?) have thrilled supporters on the paddocks thanks to the club’s new-found spending power.
Bringing players through the academy is also important but for youngsters in the City youth ranks, it must be tough to impress when there is so much cash sloshing around in the first-team.
There is undoubted potential in their youth team and they just need the chance to shine.
So we’ve decided to break down their youth prospects and draw up a list of three hidden gems who should be destined for the top.

Tosin Adarabioyo
The 18-year-old centre-back is captain of the City youth team and had a pre-season to remember.
He started games against Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich and regardless of results, they’re brilliant games in which to get your first taste of senior action.
Pep has assured the Manchester-born youngster he has a future in the first-team and many Citizens fans have drawn comparisons to current captain Vincent Kompany.
Manu Garcia
There is plenty of expectation surrounding midfielder Manu Garcia, who is serving a loan move to Deportivo Alavés this season.
He made his first-team debut in a cup tie against Sunderland in September last year, and scored in the next round, a win over Crystal Palace.
His pace, passing ability and skill have wielded comparisons to fellow Oviedo-born star Juan Mata, and Garcia will very much be looking to follow in the footsteps of the United man.
Needs a little more time to develop but this loan move should really assist with his development.
Angus Gunn
Whilst Joe Hart hasn’t enjoyed the greatest of starts in Pep Guardiola’s first months in charge, it’s been a good start for young goalkeeper Angus Gunn.
He’s been openly praised by his new manager who seems to like what he’s seen so far, and who can be surprised, he’s the son of former Norwich City star Bryan Gunn who also played in goal.
The England U21 international seems to be comfortable with the ball at his feet and whilst me may be a little young to be pushing for a first-team berth right now, he might be just the ticket in a few years time, when Willy Caballero goes past his sell-by-date.
