It has been a difficult start to the season for Manchester United, with new boss Jose Mourinho still looking to stamp his authority on the club after taking over from Louis van Gaal during the summer.
United will inevitably come good at some point and with the plethora of talent available at the manager’s disposal, it is just a matter of time before the team begins to click.
Despite a poor start to the season by their standards the team have still given the Manchester United supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern a few bits to cheer.
The start which Zlatan Ibrahimovic made was delightful for the Red Devils contingent, whilst Antonio Valencia and David de Gea have been solid at the back.
After 11 games of the campaign, Tavern writer Lee Clarke looks at three images which sum up Manchester United’s season so far.
Moaning Mourinho

The ex-Chelsea one if not exactly they shy and retiring type when it comes to speaking his mind and fans of other Premier League clubs here in the Transfer Tavern have grown frustrated with his pathetic comments in the press.
His moaning has seen referee’s and even his own players come under scrutiny this season and something tells me that he isn’t about to change his ways any time soon.
This image shows him getting pretty irate with a Turkish journalist before his side’s Europa League game with Fenerbahce last week, after he was asked a relatively simple question about his dismissal in the Premier League the weekend previous.
De Gea the in-form man once again

Without their influential stopper keeping them in certain games this season, there is no saying how much worse Manchester United’s league position might be.
The Spain number one has been in great form once again and his match winning save against Liverpool (as shown here) preserved a point for the Red Devils, ensuring that their fierce rivals didn’t finish the game with bragging rights.
It wasn’t just the Liverpool game where the custodian has saved his side however and United owe a great deal of thanks to their world class stopper.
New signings struggling to adapt

An image of United’s £90 million summer signing Paul Pogba, lying on the floor looking mightily frustrated pretty much sums up the feeling of United fans in one telling picture.
Several of the Red Devils supporters here in the Tavern have been desperately annoyed with Pogba, with many of them already writing the former Juventus man off as a complete waste money.
Our resident DJ here in the Tavern is a United supporter and he thinks Pogba is clearly a good player, but is already questioning whether he will ever gain the consistency needed to be a success in the Premier League.
