The landlord at the Tavern thinks that Arsene Wenger could be heading in to his last season at Arsenal.
Some unbelievable players have worn Arsenal’s famous red shirt under Wenger. Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Patrick Vieira and Tony Adams to name a few.
There have been some painful moments for Arsenal fans to endure during the Wenger reign. Arsenal fans are split into two groups of “Arsene knows best” and “Wenger out”. This clearly shows the tension at the club.
Many believe Wenger is past his best and should leave the club for his own sake and the sake of the club.
There have been quite a few hints in recent times that show his time in charge at Arsenal, is soon to be coming to and end.

Wenger’s contract runs out at the end of the following season.

Managers and players often sign long term contracts and there has been no indication that Wenger has signed yet another long term contract to keep him at the club.
The massive Gooner at the Tavern isn’t quite sure whether this is a good or bad sign!
New signings
Wenger has always had a stubborn approach to the transfer window, often spending very little money or refusing to bring in new players.
This summer on the other hand, Wenger has already signed Granit Xhaka and is looking to add to the side with the signing of Jamie Vardy from Leicester.
Wenger might want to strengthen the side so that he can win the title one last time before retirement.
The Tottenham fans at the Tavern look terrified at the strengthening Arsenal squad.
Let’s be realistic, he’s 66!
The bartender at the Tavern is thinking realistically here, Wenger is 66.
He has won an incredible amount of trophies at Arsenal and broken plenty of records along the way.
Surely it is time that Wenger retires and enjoys football from the stands instead of the Emirates hotseat.
However, Alex Ferguson retired in his seventies…
