Everton have had a seriously good start to the current Premier League season and their fans here in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely delighted with how things have gone!
After a summer of change which saw Ronald Koeman take the reigns at Goodison Park, things have been going swimmingly for the Toffees and their summer signings have made a real impact.
Idrissa Gueye has really settled in the middle-of-the-park whilst Yannick Bolasie has added another dimension in an attacking sense.
But here in the Tavern, we want to take a look at some of the players that are somehow still on the books at the club.
The landlord here can’t believe these lads are still getting paid mega-bucks to do very little and we want to have a look why they need to pack up their bags and move on.
So with that in mind, here’s 3 players Everton really should have sold by now.

Aiden McGeady
He was everyone’s favourite player in the earlier Fifa days, with his fire-star-skills and electric pace down the right-hand flank.
But these days he’s considered as serious deadwood at Goodison Park and many Toffees supporters were surprised when he was shipped out on another season-long loan deal this summer, this time to Championship outfit Preston North End.
He’s only made 32 league appearances in three years for Everton and he’s a player that really should have been sold on by now.
Oumar Niasse
In a way, you’ve got to feel a little sorry for Everton reject Oumar Niasse.
Signed for £13.5million in January this year, he was the man that was supposed to challenge Romelu Lukaku for a striking berth over the next couple of years.
But after Roberto Martinez left the club earlier this summer, it’s clear the former Lokomotiv Moscow man won’t be a part of Ronald Koeman’s plans for the upcoming season.
He was told he would have to leave the club this summer but after there were no takers, he was eventually given a squad number for the current campaign.
But no appearances later, it seems he’s going to be in the footballing wilderness until at least January.
He’ll be hoping to find a new club then but many were surprised he wasn’t moved on this summer.
Aaron Lennon
Once a serious player in the national set-up for England, Aaron Lennon’s career has slipped away of late and he now finds himself on the fringes of the Everton squad.
He’s made only one league appearance so far this season and looks like he might be a bit part player for the rest of the season.
A move this summer might have been a better option but Aiden McGeady’s move to Preston means Lennon was needed for cover.
He should have moved on, if the opportunity had arisen.
