The Everton supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for an upturn in fortunes during the second half of the campaign, after an alright start to the season.
The club lie in 11th position in the Premier League but are the division’s draw specialists, having taken a share of the spoils on ten occasions so far during the campaign.
Boss Roberto Martinez has got the side playing some decent football, but his squad is likely to see some changes both incoming and outgoing during the January transfer window.
Three Toffees supporters are waiting at the bar to order food and start to discuss which players are surplus to requirements for the Goodison Park-based outfit.

Aiden McGeady
The Republic of Ireland international is a bit-part player for the Toffees and his career is in serious danger of stagnating.
The 29-year-old has played just 32 times for the club since arriving from Spartak Moscow in 2014, and looks set to leave either on loan or permanently during January.
A very decent winger when on top form, it is a shame that McGeady hasn’t played more, but many Toffees followers here in the Tavern believe that the player just doesn’t have the consistency to be a strong enough Premier League player.
One punter here in the Tavern heard Nottingham Forest are keen on taking the player on loan, and are said to be working on a package with the Toffees.
Bryan Oviedo
The Costa Rica international has struggled with serious injury problems for the last couple of years, but is now fit and ready to play regular football.
His return to full fitness will not be aided by sitting on the bench for the Toffees, and the 25-year-old would be better off making a move to play somewhere else.
Our landlord is hearing that several Championship clubs have made calls about the availability of the player with a view to a loan move, whilst some in the Tavern think Oviedo may make a permanent move to a European team.
With the return to fitness of Leighton Baines, the chances of the left-back playing regular football at Everton are practically non-existent.
Steven Pienaar
The South African international is way down the Goodison Park pecking order, with his days as a first-team regular seemingly long gone.
The 33-year-old has played 67 times for the Toffees and is a popular figure with the club’s supporters, but given his age may be tempted to finally wave goodbye to a club close to his heart.
A punter hear in the Tavern heard Wolverhampton Wanderers were keen on taking a punt on the player who has played for two of European football’s giants in Ajax and Borussia Dortmund, but it remains to be seen whether the Championship outfit still harbour that interest.
