If you ask anyone drinking in the Transfer Tavern who England’s brightest young manager is, you’d find it difficult to find anyone who doesn’t agree with Eddie Howe.

The Cherries boss is making serious waves in the management world, and arguably pulled off the coup of the transfer window by landing Jack Wilshere on a season-long loan from the Gunners.

But with attracting such a talented player comes the mandatory rumours linking him with a move to the Emirates himself.

It’s common knowledge that some Gunners supporters are frustrated with the current situation at the club and even the bartender here at the TT chirps up here – he wants Arsene out!

With his frustrations overshadowing the pub, we thought it best to have a look whether the young Bournemouth gaffer has what it takes to take the reigns at the Emirates in the very near future.

So with that in mind, here’s THREE reasons why Arsenal must replace Wenger with Eddie Howe as soon as possible…

His potential is seriously exciting

Just as with a player on the pitch, Eddie Howe’s potential to be one of the best English managers in history is extremely real indeed.

There are many tipping him to follow in the footsteps of some of the best English managers we’ve seen- we’re talking Alf Ramsey level.

He’s young, hungry and has a fantastic knowledge of the game that hones from being a decent player himself.

His managerial record is impressive

His managerial record is a tad short but if we look at the facts, he’s done extremely well in his eight years in management.

He’s guided the Cherries to the top flight via two promotions in three seasons and he’s turned his side into a respectable Premier League outfit.

The pressure is on this season to keep up the progress he’s made over the past couple of campaigns, but you get the feeling this is the trial for the impending job in question.

If Howe can get the best out of Wilshire, keep Bournemouth up and pick up some surprise results along the way, you really do get the impression he could be Arsenal’s man.

They might lose him to the England national team

This next reason has little to do with things that are actually in Howe’s control and it very much depends on how Sam Allardyce gets on in the England hotseat.

It was common knowledge that Howe was being considered for the Three Lions position after the calamitous Euro 2016 campaign, but no deal went through.

If England’s World Cup qualifying somehow doesn’t go to plan, you can see the FA pushing through for a deal to bring Howe to the Wembley hotseat.

Quite simply, if Arsenal want Howe, they may need to move quicker than originally thought.

Buying him out of an England contract would be seriously difficult and expensive.
