Sergi Roberto
We know Arsene Wenger loves developing young talent and when it comes to Spanish starlets, there are none better in the world than Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto.
He had his big break last season and has since gone on to be a big player in the Barca team, albeit mainly from the bench. Rakitic, Iniesta and Busquets make up an unbelievable midfield which, as you’d predict, is hard to break apart.
If Roberto did ever become frustrated with his lack of minutes at the Nou Camp, he could do far worse than move to the Emirates, where he could potentially shine.
Samu Castillejo
Villarreal winger Samu Castillejo is a man that is making serious waves in Spanish football, and looking at him on the pitch – it’s clear to see why.
The 21-year-old started out with Malaga before signing for Villarreal last summer. His form last season sent plenty of our punters into overdrive with his lightning pace, dazzling skill and out-and-out confidence screaming with every step he takes.
Arsenal could do far worse than gamble on a young man who already has over 80 first-team La Liga appearances under his belt.
Bruno
Keeping with the Villarreal theme a little, midfielder Bruno is another who plays for the Yellow Submarine – but he is a man who has been on their books for the entirety of his career.
Now 32, he over 370 appearances under his belt and is well renowned in his homeland for his no-nonsense attitude in the middle-of-the-park. He’s a tough cookie that would add plenty of steel to the Gunners midfield.
Tempting him away from Villarreal might prove difficult but these are exciting times at the Emirates and that optimism could swing the move in Arsenal’s favour.
