Manchester United have had a so-so start to the new Premier League campaign and it’s clear to see why their fans in the pub haven’t been 100% convinced just yet.
But things are slowly beginning to pick up and a win over Man City in the week would have done little to harm confidence in the Red Devils camp.
It’s set to be a real dash for the Premier League crown this season and if United want to be up there this season and in campaigns to come, they need to invest wisely.

Sergio Ramos
This would be an absolute coup of a signing for the Red Devils but as we saw with Paul Pogba this summer, Jose Mourinho will be financially supported where necessary in the transfer window.
And when we’re talking about the best in Spanish defenders, none come close to Segio Ramos, who has been one of the standout figures in this generation of Spanish football.
Now 30, he’s still in the Madrid team week-after-week and would be a difficult man to tempt to England but these are exciting times at United.
You get the impression this Mourinho appointment isn’t short-term and players like Ramos could really help Mourinho build United up to the top once again.
Pedro
Despite playing for Premier League rivals Chelsea, Pedro’s inconsistent ability to hold down a permanent first-team berth at Stamford Bridge could really see him push through a transfer in the near future.
Brazilian star Willian often dominates proceedings on that right hand-flank and the bar manager at the pub wants to see Pedro move elsewhere so we can see him week-after-week.
He’s a player with plenty of quality, as we’ve seen in his spells in England and Spain, and he’d add definite quality to a United side looking to get back to the summit of English football once again.
Alvaro Morata
Again, Alvaro Morata isn’t a player that would come cheap but he’s a man with so much quality upfront.
He’s back at Real Madrid after they brought him from Juventus, but with Karim Benzema also fighting for a starting berth at the Bernabeu – it’s tough competition indeed.
A move to Manchester United would take him to one of the biggest clubs in England in a league that would suit his robust playing style. Again, it’s not a move that would come cheap but if United want quality, they need to put their hands in their pockets.
