There seems to be a real buzz around Newcastle in the Transfer Tavern.
Under Rafa Benitez, the whole squad has been completely overhauled with a younger, fresher group of players who can improve on some of the performances that were on offer last season.
There were some pretty awful horror shows from the Toon last season and one thing Rafa will want to iron out in the season ahead is performing with a little more astuteness when the going gets tough.
But what else can we expect from Newcastle in the near future?

A lot more tactical awareness
He’s renowned for being a masterful tactician and Newcastle really need some of that guidance going forward. Under both McClaren and Pardew, Newcastle seemed a little avoid of any personality and rhythm that really set them apart from anyone else.
This season Newcastle are massive favourites to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt and in order to do this, Rafa needs to lay the foundations for the season ahead from the offset.
Players need to understand his tactics and philosophies and if they do, they will achieve success a lot easier.
A team that will work for one another
Perhaps the thing that was missing most last season: Working for your team-mates. The standout performance of pure desolation was the 3-1 home defeat to Bournemouth last season. There was a complete lack of hard-work, leadership and support on the pitch and Newcastle really crumbled.
Under Rafa, expect there to be real man management coming from both the touchline and the pitch.
A side capable of winning the league
Rafa has worked really hard to build a side capable winning of the Championship this summer and the signings he’s made really prove that he wants the side to progress this season.
He hasn’t hesitated in spending money and has been well backed by the board who have helped him vividly in the market.
Expect his signings to work hard and to give that real quality when it matters most on the pitch.
