3 UCL clubs that would be absolutely perfect for Romelu Lukaku

The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are seriously concerned that their key striker, Romelu Lukaku, could be set to leave Everton in the summer…

A tweet sent out by the Belgian during the Champions League clash between Man City and Monaco has left the Toffees in the Transfer Tavern feeling concerned – with the striker stating that the Champions League is where ‘reputations are built’ – with many in the Transfer Tavern inferring that as a come and get me plea for Champions League outfits from Lukaku.

Certainly, the Belgian hasn’t confirmed that he is looking for an exit – but the Tweet is certainly telling – and it has left our landlord wondering which clubs might actually be keen on the Belgian.

For many sides, this summer is going to be crucial – but could Lukaku be on the shopping list of these THREE Champions League clubs?

Chelsea

A move back to Chelsea could be a genuine possibility for the Belgian.

The Blues are reportedly interested, and given their current standing in the Premier League – Champions League football looks assured for next season.

Diego Costa has struggled lately, and Conte clearly needs a bit more depth – so a move for Lukaku does make a lot of sense.

He could fire Chelsea back to the top of the European pile.

Arsenal

Olivier Giroud just isn’t cutting it at Arsenal this season, and Lukaku could be a perfect fit.

Not since Thierry Henry have Arsenal had a genuinely world class striker, and the Belgian is certainly of that level of quality.

The Gunners have struggled up front for a number of years, and the arrival of Lukaku would certainly rid them of that issue.

Their qualification in the Champions League is not yet assured, but Wenger has consistently managed to lead his side into Europe’s elite competition – and you would be hard pressed to find someone that will be against him doing the same again this year.

Atletico Madrid

How about a move outside of the Premier League?

Atletico Madrid could be in the market for a new forward should Antoine Griezmann leave, and Lukaku would fit the mould perfectly.

A deadly forward, his pace and power make him a perfect fit for the Spanish top flight – and Simeone could be the perfect manager to get the best out of him.
