The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern were relieved when their side managed to snag a win against Burnley over the weekend. It wasn’t a poor performance from the Gunners, and they did deserve to win the game, but it’s clear that they need to improve to get back to the top of the Premier League table.

Fortunately, that win has secured their spot back in the top four in the English top flight, and with that, the fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that their side will kick on and progress.

Unfortunately for them, a tough test against Huddersfield awaits, with the newly-promoted outfit making life tough for Man City over the weekend. It’s far from a guaranteed three points for Arsene Wenger, so perhaps the Frenchman should make a few changes to his squad for the game.

With that said, Wenger should consider dropping these 2 Arsenal players against Huddersfield – agreed?

Alex Iwobi

There was a unanimous groan amongst the Arsenal fans over the weekend when they heard that Alex Iwobi was set to start the game.

Though the Nigerian has been a fairly regular member of the first team this season, in recent weeks he has done very little of note. He has struggled to make much of an impact, and were the Gunners not struggling for depth in the attack, it seems unlikely that he wouldn’t be anywhere near the first team.

That’s the unfortunate situation for Wenger, though, and so for the next few weeks at least, Iwobi is in with a chance of starting. Perhaps a player like Danny Welbeck would be better suited, though.

Granit Xhaka

Rated at £31.5 million by Transfer Markt, Granit Xhaka’s form this season has been inconsistent at best, and that’s a worry for Arsene Wenger.

He has yet to show the domineering displays that he enjoyed in Germany, and so his manager needs to act. He wasn’t terrible over the weekend, but he has done nothing to suggest that he is undroppable from this Arsenal team.

Meanwhile, Jack Wilshere continues to impress whenever he plays. Perhaps it’s time for the Englishman to finally get his chance in the Premier League.
