The Man Utd fans came into the Football Transfer Tavern this morning with a huge smile on their faces..
After looking pretty glum over the last few weeks, and particularly after United’s 4-0 crushing against Chelsea – victory in the Manchester Derby last night finally gave them something to smile about.
Granted, it was the EFL Cup, rather than the league – but the Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are delighted nonetheless.
They felt that their team performed admirably against a very difficult opponent, and they thought a few of their players in particular had excellent performances.
Juan Mata, in particular, has been signalled out – and given that he was the man to score the winner, that will come as no surprise.
Our landlord has been quizzing the Man Utd fans in the Tavern on individual player performances, and they have had a lot to say. So he has taken to Twitter to see if the feeling is mutual amongst Man Utd fans around the world.
