Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern will be resting a little easier, after Bolasie finally secured a move to the Toffees.

It’s been a tough summer for Toffees fans who, apart from the appointment of Ronald Koeman, have had little to shout about as the season edges closer this weekend.

Everton, who start to Tottenham this weekend have endured a frustrating summer in terms of incomings in the transfer window, with just Idrissa Gueye and Martin Stekelenberg coming into the club so far.

But all that is about to change, the club have wrapped up a huge move for Crystal Palace forward Yannick Bolasie.

And with such a big player coming to the club, it will surely change the way Everton need to lineup going into their first game.

So with that in mind, here’s the lineup that will get the very best out of Yannick Bolasie for the Toffees…

GK: Joel Robles

Despite adding Stekelenberg this summer, expect Joel Robles to start the season inbetween the sticks for the Toffees this weekend.

After Tim Howard’s departure, the Spaniard really stepped up his game and looks more reliable than ever.

RB: Séamus Coleman

A pretty standard choice here.

The Republic of Ireland international, who featured in his sides’ Euro 2016 run this summer has been number one for the Toffees in this berth for some time now.

He’s quick, offers a good attacking option and defends well too. Mr Reliable in this side.

CB: Phil Jagielka

He’s made over 300 appearances for Everton and is their go-to defender who starts most games for the Toffees.

He’s a real leader on the pitch and when some seem to falter, Jagielka is always there to pick up the pieces. If he plays well, Everton don’t concede that many goals.

CB: Ashley Williams

The former Swansea City defender signed for the Toffees this summer.

Our punters here in the Tavern think he will be a rock for Koeman’s side, and thinks he has what it takes to become a fan favourite at Goodison Park.

LB: Leighton Baines

Another steady, reliable outlet- Leighton Baines is a mainstay in this Everton squad.

Handy from set-pieces, good going forward and defensively solid too, there aren’t many better performing left-backs in the Premier League than Leighton Baines.

CDM: Idrissa Gueye

Everton’s new signing from Aston Villa is set to play a big part in the season ahead, and they will do well if he shows the same form as he did last season.

Gueye was a massive part of one of the worst Villa sides we’ve seen in years, so imagine what he can be with better players around him. Could prove to be a massive signing.

CDM: Gareth Barry

We know Gareth Barry well enough now and we know what he brings to the Everton squad.

The club’s vice-captain brings a real anchor to their midfield, with an excellent ability to play the ball out of defence too.

RM/RW: Kevin Mirallas

Mirallas has a big season ahead of him in an Everton shirt this time out after struggling to maintain the same form that he has showed in previous seasons.

His quality remains undoubted, but expect him to start this one under new manager Ronald Koeman.

CAM/CF: Yannick Bolasie

The big-man himself- Yannick Bolasie.

Expect him to play behind the striker, with the freedom to move across the forward line. He’ll bring pace, power and skill to the Toffees front-line whilst he has the potential to be devastating with a certain Belgian striker.

LM/LW: Gerard Deulofeu

Another important player for the Toffees going forward, Gerard Deulofeu has a big season ahead of him if he wants to help the Toffees reach their true potential.

As we’ve seen in previous years he’s terrifically quick and he loves to beat defenders to the byline.

Chipping in with a few more goals would be nice though, he only dispatched four times last season.

ST: Romelu Lukaku

We’re days away from the season opener and there is still no sign of Romelu Lukaku jumping ship to Chelsea.

Of course, that could all change at any moment but expect the Belgian to start the game if he is in the right mindset to do so.

Transfer rumours can’t distract the fact that Lukaku is one of the best strikers in the world, and he can be massive for Everton again last season.

He single handedly carried them at times under Roberto Martinez.
