After a disappointing few years following the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, the introduction of Jose Mourinho has manager has given United fans here in the Tavern a dose of hope about the future.

In all of the fanfare and drama, there is one thing that Jose Mourinho always brings; success.

The plans for that success have already been put in place, with a number of transfer deals reportedly in place to be completed over the next few days and weeks.

You can expect a number of changes to the Manchester United first team next year in terms of new arrivals but also in terms of career revivals.

A number of players that had their days numbered over Louis Van Gaal may well get a new lease on life under Jose Mourinho.

Lets take a look at a 4-3-3 Manchester United line-up that will WIN the Premier League next season……

Goalkeeper – David De Gea

The easiest decision on the pitch. For United to be successful next year; David Dea Gea must be retained.

If the proposed transfer of De Gea to Real Madrid had occured last summer we might well have seen a different path for the club last year.

The Spanish keeper saved the club on a number of occasions, keeping them battling in games that they should have lost by three or four goals.

Mourinho must resist any proposals by clubs for De Gea and hold on to their star Spaniard.

Defenders – Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, John Stones, Luke Shaw

Chris Smalling found a new lease on life last season under Louis Van Gaal, as he began to find the form of the player all the United fans in the Tavern knew he could be.

He is one of the first names on the United team sheet now; and a potential future captain.

We expect Jose Mourinho to go back in for a long-term target of his to partner the Englishman, in the form of England compatriot John Stones. Stones was hugely impressive in the 2014/15 season, but last season was one to forget for the young defender.

Mourinho will no doubt see himself as the man to turn young Stones’ career back around, and we expect him to seal the deal and get Smalling a new central defensive partner.

Matteo Darmian will likely retain his place in the United team as right full back, after impressing last season under LVG.

The introduction of Mourinho will almost certainly mean a resurgence for young Luke Shaw, who is just coming off of the back of a nasty broken leg that kept him out of nearly the entirety of last season.

Mourinho wanted to sign the youngster whilst still in charge at Chelsea; so expect him to become the sides star left back on his return.

Midfield – Morgan Schneidlerin, Ander Herrera, Wayne Rooney

The United midfield will likely be re-jigged under Mourinho, with his management style favouring players that typically were not suited to Van Gaal.

Morgan Schneiderlin will almost certainly find his feet at United under the new manager, with his style of play and build drawing a number of parallels to Nemanja Matic.

Look for him to anchor that United midfield in much the same way that Matic did for Chelsea; looking for balls to his slightly more forward lying midfield team mates.

Ander Herrera will almost definitely get a chance of redemption under Mourinho, despite being out of favour under Van Gaal.

His style of play certainly suits a Mourinho style of play, a hardworker with excellent passing ability, drawing a number of parallels with the career trajectory of Oscar.

Wayne Rooney will also continue to play in a deeper role under Mourinho, finding his feet as an advanced playmaker.

As the club’s captain Mourinho will certainly trust the veteran to produce on the pitch, and given his new manager’s interest in the player whilst at Chelsea; you can bet he will play week in week out.

Attackers – Anthony Martial, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan

A new look attacking trio starts with a bit of familiarity in Anthony Martial.

After making a hugely impressive start to his United career, expect Anthony Martial to kick on and really make a name for himself under Mourinho next summer. The young Frenchman should look to add even more goals to his arsenal; but expect Mourinho to make him work up and down that left hand side.

If rumours are to be believed Henrikh Mkhitaryan will become a United player in the coming days, and should fit perfectly on the right hand side of a United attacking trio.

Able to play anywhere across a front three, Mkhitaryan thrives on the wing, renowned for his ability to open up defenses with both his dribbling and passing.
Leading the line is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the worst kept secret in football history. The deal to bring him to United seems imminent, and he will definitely play as the sides leading number 9.

We’re expecting him to dominate the premier league next year, and should win this new look United side points on his own.
