4 strikers who’d be absolutely superb January signings for Rangers

Promotion into the top flight hasn’t exactly been the plain sailing transition many of the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern seemed to think it would be under Mark Warburton.

Many of the summer arrivals don’t appear to be working out for the Gers, not just a certain Joey Barton, though the fast-approaching January transfer window provides another chance to strengthen.

Though any notion of an unlikely title tilt has dried up amongst our Rangers supporting locals, drafting in quality during the New Year sales could help create a feeling of unity ahead of next season.

Goals are proving hard to come by for the Gers, so perhaps looking for further attacking additions to bring into Ibrox could be a good avenue to go down for the former Brentford boss.

With that in mind, here are FOUR strikers who’d be perfect signings for Rangers in January.

Do you agree?

Jai Quitongo

With Warburton having invested in experience over the course of the summer, moving for a talented young Scottish forward would provide the squad with a nice mix.

Jai Quitongo is a pacy attacker currently hugely impressing with Morton in the Scottish Championship and will see his contract with the Ton run out at the end of the season.

Would be a real coup for the Gers.

Jason Cummings

While any Hibernian player is likely to face a baptism of fire at Ibrox, particularly with a record against the Gers as good as Jason Cummings’, there’s little doubt he’s a huge talent.

Proving prolific in the second-tier, the 21-year-old would certainly bring some personality back to the ranks.

Adam Rooney

Tempting Adam Rooney away from rivals Aberdeen is another move likely to come with controversy, though the former Republic of Ireland U21 man would certainly bring goals to Ibrox.

Lethal in Scotland, the former Birmingham City man could be the focal point of the attack.

Libor Kozak

Unable to get a game at Aston Villa, Libor Kozak would be a huge signing for Rangers if they could pull it off.

The Czech has all the attributes to become a cult-hero at Ibrox, creating a battering ram up front to allow the likes of Billy McKay and Josh Windass to float around.
