Sunderland may have completed their Premier League transfer business, but their squad could still lose a key player with several overseas windows remaining open.
The Black Cats enjoyed a busy summer, bringing in Malick Fofana from Lyon on deadline day alongside Thomas Meunier, Kevin Danso and Dayann Méthalie earlier in the month.
However, one Sunderland winger has now been linked with a move away from the Stadium of Light despite the domestic window closing.
Talbi In Talks With Al-Ittihad
Chemsdine Talbi has reportedly been left out of Sunderland’s Europa League squad as talks continue over a possible departure.
According to talkSPORT, the Morocco international is in discussions with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, while Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are also monitoring the 21-year-old.
With the Saudi and Turkish transfer windows still open, Talbi can leave Sunderland despite the Premier League deadline having passed.
The winger only joined the Black Cats from Club Brugge for around £18m last summer but has struggled for consistent opportunities, including starting on the bench during last weekend’s 1-0 win over Fulham.
Talbi was previously described as “clinical” by former Sunderland boss Régis Le Bris, but his future on Wearside is now uncertain.
