Juventus ‘considering move’ for “strong” Sunderland forward who starred at World Cup

Barnaby Lane 2 July 2026, 14:40 2 minutes read

Juventus are continuing to assess attacking options ahead of the summer window, with several forwards under consideration as they look to strengthen their frontline.

Sunderland, meanwhile, had a strong World Cup presence across their squad, with players representing Switzerland, DR Congo and Haiti among others.

However, one attacker in particular stood out above the rest with a series of eye-catching performances on the international stage, and has now caught the eye of the Italian giants as they search for a new forward.

Juventus Considering Brobbey Move

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Juventus have been offered Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey as they evaluate potential additions in attack.

The report suggests the Dutch forward is being discussed as an alternative option to Randal Kolo Muani, with the Italian giants weighing up multiple profiles before making a decision.

Brobbey has been described as “strong” and “difficult to stop” by Premier League legend Thierry Henry, underlining his physical presence and threat in the final third.

For Juventus, the approach is not straightforward, with the club still shaping its shortlist and exploring different market opportunities. Brobbey’s blend of power and directness does, however, make him an appealing option.

The striker also impressed at the World Cup, scoring three goals as the Netherlands reached the Round of 32 before being eliminated by Morocco.

From Sunderland’s perspective, the report is likely to raise concern, with Brobbey considered an important part of their attacking plans. However, at this stage, interest remains at an early exploratory level rather than a formal bid.
