£40 Grand A Week Is A Joke

Darron Gibson’s £3million move from Manchester United to Sunderland has broken down after Black Cats manager Steve Bruce lost patience with the midfielder’s wage demands, The Daily Mail reported.

Bruce has refused to match the £40,000 a week salary that Gibson has been holding out for and is happy with his summer spending after capturing Blackpool’s David Vaughan last week, becoming his ninth signing in this window.

Gibson had been quoted as saying how keen he was to work with former Manchester United captain Steve Bruce, however he and his agent refused to budge on negotiations of the wage package.

This has left Gibson in a strange position, as he planned to leave Old Trafford to find more first-team football, but Sunderland’s ending of the chase has left him somewhat in limbo as he is not a part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans at United next term.

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
