The Swansea City fans in the Transfer Tavern are not too happy with how their season has been going so far.
With only three wins in the season which leaves them sat in 15th place, just one point off the relegation zone.
Their recent 3-0 demolition at home at the hands Premier League form side, Leicester City, at the weekend left more cause for concern as fans began to feel uneasy about the direction that their season is heading.
With the team performing way below expectations, leaving the fans unhappy and Garry Monk’s position at Swansea under fire, we take a look at 5 possible replacements for him.

David Moyes
The former Real Sociedad and Manchester United boss is first on our list of potential replacements for Monk at Swansea.
Moyes has plenty of Premier League managerial experience after spending a long tenure at Everton and helping them towards the status of a well-established Premier League club. Following the retirement of Manchester United manager, Alex Ferguson, Moyes jumped at the opportunity of managing Premier League giants, United, but the task proved too difficult for the Scotsman.
After leaving United and taking over at Spanish outfit, Real Sociedad, Moyes lasted just 12 months after 12 wins in 38 games, guiding them to a 12th place finish in the table. Now with Moyes out of work, Swansea will be keeping a tab on him as they search for an experienced Premier League manager.
Brendan Rodgers
Second on the list of managerial replacements is former Swansea City and Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers. Rodgers, who previously enjoyed a successful spell at the Liberty Stadium, is amongst the list of candidates to replace Garry Monk.
Rodgers’ initial spell as manager of Swansea began in July 2010 and he guided them to a play-off final against Reading in his first season in charge. Becoming an instant hero at Swansea, he took them into the top-flight of English football and helped them to stabilise themselves during their debut season in the Premier League.
Now in Swansea’s time of need, a happy home-coming for Rodgers could be just what they need to revive their season.
Mark Warburton
Next on the list of candidates and surprisingly the odds-on favourite to replace Garry Monk if he gets the axe is current Rangers manager, Mark Warburton.
Warburton has been making the headlines recently as media outlets began linking him with the Fulham job just last week. Despite a large amount claiming a move was likely, Warburton remained adamant that his future belonged at The Ibrox.
However, despite Warburton’s reassurance to Rangers fans over social media, Twitter, bookmakers have named him as the favourite to replace Monk should the job become available.
Walter Mazzari
Our next manager in the spotlight is former Serie A manager, Walter Mazzari. The 54-year-old Italian has bags of managerial experience, having recently been in charge of Italian giants, Inter Milan.
After taking charge of Inter in May 2013, Mazzari managed 25 wins out of 56 games for the Seria A side but a poor string of results for the side which left them in ninth place in the league, far from a top 3 finish, Mazzari was given the axe and has been out of management ever since.
If Monk is relieved of his duties at Swansea, they may look to gamble on Mazzari’s experience and offer him his first opportunity in the Premier League.
Tim Sherwood
Last but not least on our list of replacements is former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa coach, Tim Sherwood. Sherwood’s managerial career began to Tottenham Hotspur in December 2013 when Andre Villas-Boas was given the axe at White Hart Lane and went on to secure Spurs a 6th place finish in the Premier League.
However, despite the majority of fans wanting Sherwood to take full charge at the Lane, he was sacked by Spurs Chairman, Daniel Levy in May 2014. Just 9 months later, Sherwood took charge at Aston Villa, hoping to prove that he could make it on the Premier League management scene.
However, Sherwood’s time at Villa was short lived, lasting just over 8 months, leaving Aston Villa in a relegation scrap. Now, Sherwood will be looking for an opportunity to redeem himself and Swansea may take a chance on the charismatic character.
