Hakan Calhanoglu

The £29m-rated Bayer Leverkusen ace is certainly going to be a player on the move in 2016 and it’s down to Louis Van Gaal and his team to convince the highly-rated Turkish international to choose Old Trafford as his next destination.
Calhanoglu, likened to Arsenal star Mesut Ozil, could be on the move as early as January but Bayer are likely to fight tooth and nail to at least keep the 21-year-old until the end of the season; as they have a Bundesliga and European campaign to think about.
Should United offer the requested £29m in January though they should be able to get their man, which would solve their creativity problems.
Cristiano Ronaldo

The transfer rumour that won’t go away concerns fan favourite Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been heavily-lined with a return to Old Trafford. What started as a dream has now become a distinct possibility, with it increasingly likely the Portuguese ace will leave Real Madrid next summer.
A January swoop is off the table but United could secure a huge cop by bringing the multiple-time Ballon D’Or winner back to Manchester at the end of the season- though they face strong competition from Paris Saint-Germain, which could potentially shatter their dreams.
Youri Tielemans

Another expensive young addition Manchester United are heavily flighting for is Anderlecht ace Youri Tielemans. Rated at £30m, United face a lot of competition for the Belgian’s signature but they have a strong chance of securing their man as he’s likely to move imminently.
Anderlecht will not want to lose their main-man midway through the season but if the big guns come calling they won’t stand in the way- and United will be boosted in January but the fact not many other clubs have the money to spend in mid-season like the Red Devils.
Gareth Bale

A constant mainstay of the Manchester United gossip columns has been Gareth Bale, who ever since his days tearing up the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur has been linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford.
Whilst Bale is valued very highly by Real Madrid, particularly president Florentino Perez, the Welshman is still yet to win over fans and the media. If this continues he will grow increasingly unsettled and may seek to return to Britain, where he is a cult hero.
This deal depends on how the season pans out for Bale in the Spanish capital but next summer could be when a move takes place.
Riyad Mahrez

One man Manchester Untied are desperate to get their hands on is Leicester City ace Riyad Mahrez, who has helped the Foxes take the Premier League by storm this season. The Algerian has starred in the opening 11 games of the campaign, putting his side third in the table- ahead of the Red Devils.
Louis Van Gaal wants to bring him to Old Trafford and is rumoured to be preparing a lucrative deal in January that Leicester will find it difficult to say no to. Whilst Claudio Ranieri has insisted none of their stars will be sold, the Foxes will be powerless if United offer a hefty sum and the player wants a move.
Either way, if the deal doesn’t take place in the New Year then Mahrez is certain to leave next summer.
