Happy St Totteringham’s day to all the Gooners out there in the Transfer Tavern!
Astonishingly, Arsenal managed to claw above their rivals on their final day of the season and finish above Tottenham for the 21st season in a row.
However May 15th 2016 should not have been ST Totteringham’s day.
May 15th 2016 should without a doubt have been the day that Arsenal retained the Premier League title after a 12 year wait.
Arsenal fans have been brainwashed into believing that finishing above Tottenham is a success, but the reality is, that is far from the truth.
Arsenal most some of the most technically gifted players in the world, they play at perhaps the world’s nicest stadium in front of 60,000 fans every week and have one of the world’s biggest fanbases.
Arsenal’s transfer record is £42.5 million for German assist king Mesut Ozil, and thats a sum that Arsenal can easily surpass this summer.
It’s time for Arsenal to reach their potential, after finishing 4th in 2013/14, 3rd in 2014/15 and 2nd in 2015/16, next season has to be the year that Arsenal win back their crown, so here are FIVE players Arsenal should smash their transfer record for this summer…..

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang
How many times can it be said?
Arsenal HAVE to sign him up as soon as possible.
Despite a hat-trick from Olivier Giroud on the final day of the season, there is no denying it, Arsenal lack a world-class striker.
The fact is that Giroud went a disgraceful 15 games without a goal and Danny Welbeck is out for 9 months.
Regardless of form or injuries, the Borussia Dortmund striker is worth every penny and could get into any side in the world after scoring 25 Bundesliga goals this season and a further 11 in Europe.
What is Wenger waiting for? Anything below £60 million for the 26-year-old could be a bargain.
Robert Lewandowski
This may be unrealistic but the point is, Arsenal need a world class striker and Lewandowski is absolutely perfect.
He fits the Arsenal criteria in every shape and form, the only thing stopping the Polish striker from joining the Gunners is perhaps that Arsenal are no longer the massive club they used to be.
Lewandowski scored 30 Bundesliga goals this season, the first man to do so for 39 years, and is as clinical as any striker in the world.
Arsene Wenger should be bidding at least £60 million for Bayern Munich’s key striker and approach this summer willing to spend lots of money before what looks like his last season at Arsenal.
Raphael Varane
Every club in the world seemingly wants Varane.
The 23- year-old centre back can’t quite make it into the Real Madrid line up but there is no denying that he is world class.
Despite his age, Varane is already established as one of the world’s best defenders and will be a vital part of the French team this summer.
With Mertesacker and fellow frenchman, Laurent Koscielny in their thirties, Varane would be perfect for the present and future of Arsenal football club.
Varane would certainly be worth every penny if Kroenke and co spent over £42.5 million for his services.
Mario Gotze
Gotze has fulfilled every kids dream.
Mario scored the winning goal in the World Cup final for Germany two years ago and has an incredible record of winning the Bundesliga 5 times in his 6 years as a professional footballer.
The 24-year-old has the potential to become an Arsenal great with his attacking flair and composure on the ball, let alone his great passing ability.
Gotze is a perfect fit at the Emirates, and after struggling to break into the Bayern team at the Allianz Arena, Gotze may be open to a move to the Premier League.
£42.5 million may be a realistic price for the former Dortmund man.
Paulo Dybala
Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, this is another signing that looks unlikely.
The Argentinian forward has been excellent for Serie A winners Juventus this season scoring 19 goals and grabbing 9 assists in the process.
Dybala has already played for Argentina alongside Lionel Messi and has the potential to become one of the world’s best.
At 22 years old, Dybala can play on the right wing or up front and is quick, skilful and has an incredible shot.
With Juventus paying Palermo £21 million for his services last summer, Arsenal would surely have to cough up at least £60 million for the youngster to lure him to the Emirates, but he would be worth every penny.
