Arsenal bounced back from their Champions League heartache with another Premier League victory at the weekend, beating Newcastle 2-1 at St James’ Park, with Olivier Giroud adding another two goals to his tally for the season.
The Gunners have been almost faultless in the league since the turn of the year, losing just twice at Southampton and Tottenham.
With Liverpool set to visit the Emirates after the international break, Arsene Wenger will be hoping three points will all but secure their place in the Champions League for next season, with attentions then able to turn to securing a runners up spot and retaining their FA Cup.
Arsenal fans will demand a serious title challenge next season, and Wenger is reportedly already looking to add to his squad with the addition of 21-year-old Argentine striker Paulo Dyabla, who has impressed in Serie A with Genoa.

Petr Cech
The 32-year-old has been perhaps the best goalkeeper in Europe over the past decade, yet he has lost his place in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI this season to Thibaut Courtois.
Mourinho wants to keep Cech at Stamford Bridge, but admits he cannot guarantee him first team football next season, meaning he would be willing to let him leave for the right price.
Arsenal are in the market for a proven world class goalkeeper, and have registered an interest in the three time Premier League winner.
Whether Mourinho would be willing to do business with Wenger remains to be seen – but not many people thought he would sell Juan Mata to Manchester United, and we all know how that one turned out.
Sami Khedira
A top class defensive midfielder has been on Arsene Wenger’s wanted list for almost two years now, yet the right man simply hasn’t come along.
Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira is someone who has been consistently linked, and it seems this summer could be the time in which he finally moves in search of regular first team football.
The German contingent already at the Emirates may well have a say on where Khedira ends up, with Arsenal thought to be the Premier League club in the driving seat for his signature at present.
Morgan Schneiderlin
The France international has been one of the best defensive midfielders of the past two seasons with Southampton, despite almost leaving the club for Tottenham last summer.
The Gunners have since registered an interest in signing him, and fancy themselves to pip their north London rivals in the summer should they qualify for Champions League football ahead of them as expected.
Schneiderlin has played a major role in the Saints push for the top four under Ronald Koeman, but should Arsenal come calling, he is likely to demand a move for the second summer running – and Southampton may well be powerless to stop him.
Neven Subotic
The Serb is a player Arsenal know well, having played Dortmund on four occasions over the past two seasons in the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have struggled domestically this season, and are expected to have a major clearout in the summer.
Arsenal are still in the market for a new centre back, despite signing Gabriel Paulista in January, with Per Mertesacker having endured a poor season at the Emirates.
Subotic is believed to be the man on their list, with his power and strength seemingly making him the ideal fit for the Premier League.
Edinson Cavani
The Uruguayan was on Arsenal’s wanted list during the summer of 2013, until Paris St Germain blew them out of the water with a £50million offer.
Cavani has been key for Laurent Blanc’s side in the past couple of seasons, and impressed as a loan striker in their recent heroic win over Chelsea in the Champions League.
Yet he has consistently shafted out wide to accomodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the French capital, with rumours over a possible summer transfer persisting.
Arsenal are looking for a central striker to compete with Giroud, ideally someone with pace, which the former Napoli man has in abundance.
