Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain is only the precipice of Serie A history, as the Argentine striker now stands only two goals off matching Gunnar Nordahl’s long standing record of 35 goals in one campaign from 1950.
Labelled ‘lazy’ by Maurizio Sarri and ‘overweight’ by club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, Higuain has gone from lethargic to lethal during his time in Italy’s top division and now stands firmly amongst the very best striker’s in world football.
68 goals in only 93 appearances for the Gli Azzurri has seen the former Real Madrid man linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs this summer.
The latest of those clubs is Chelsea, who’s incoming boss Antonio Conte has allegedly made Higuain his ‘top priority’ this coming transfer window, as he eyes a replacement for want away superstar Diego Costa.
The striker tops a long wish list of player’s that former Juve boss Conte would like to see move to London this summer; so who else could make the switch from Serie A to the Blues?

Radja Nainggolan

Having already had a £23 million bid for ‘The Ninja’ rejected by AS Roma, expect Chelsea and Conte to up the stakes in their pursuit of the highly rated Belgian midfielder.
Nainggolan would add bite and tenacity to a Chelsea midfield that is full of playmakers, creating a balance the club have lacked since the departure of Claude Makelele.
Lorenzo Insigne

Higuain’s Napoli counter part was heavily tipped to make the move the the Bridge last summer, however the deal never materialised.
Insigne has had a fantastic season – scoring 13 times and adding 11 assists – and amidst rejuvenated interest from Chelsea, could follow his team mate across Europe.
The dynamic forward would be the fresh injection of attacking prowess that the Blues need.
Paul Pogba

It may be a Serie A robbery this summer if Chelsea get the men they want.
Pogba – formerly managed by Conte at Juventus – is one of the best midfielders in the game, despite only being only 23.
Powerful, pacy and skilful, Pogba is possibly the most sought after player in world football at the moment, but could his former boss and mentor’s presence at the Bridge lure him away from The Old Lady?
Leonardo Bonucci

If John Terry is indeed to leave the Bridge this summer after almost two decades at the club, Chelsea will certainly need to replace their omnipresent defender.
Bonucci was Conte’s main man alongside Georgio Chellini at Juventus, and the Italian defender would have both the nous and ability to fill in for the veteran English centre back.
Juan Cuadrado

Although technically still a Chelsea player, the speedy Colombian winger has spent the season on loan at Juventus, with the Italian side supposedly interested in securing his services full time.
The former Fiorentina man has had an impressive season on loan, so expect to see Cuadrado back at his parent club this summer.
