Manchester United are guaranteed a dramatic season next term, as that’s exactly what Jose Mourinho brings in abundance, but the transfer window may well be just as eventful, with a host of big deals being touted.
Toni Kroos of Real Madrid is just one name being thrown about by the lads in the Transfer Tavern and the genuinely believe the German World Cup winner would be the perfect addition to Manchester United’s ranks- and they feel his signing could push the Red Devils towards Premier League glory.
The midfield area of United’s squad was severely underwhelming last term and Kroos would certainly spice things up a bit, so we played along and asked our punters to explain exactly why the signing of the German ace could propel the Manchester outfit to glory.

With Kroos in the side, the German international can pick out the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to create scoring opportunities. He can dictate the tempo and push forward, spotting the runs of his team-mate.

Let’s face it, Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata aren’t the sort of players you can look towards to drag the side out of the mud. Whilst they’re all capable, they’re not going to spur the team on when necessary.

Overall, Kroos has 16 winner’s medals to his name and his experience will help Manchester United get back to the level they should be.
Spine in the side
We’ve touched on the creativity that Kroos will bring to Manchester United but it’s not just that, he’ll provide the link between defence and attack- helping the Red Devils develop a strong, counter-attacking style of play.
United have missed that in recent years but he can be the going point in the side, just like Santi Cazorla is for Arsenal and Yaya Toure has been for Manchester City in recent years- back when he was at his prime.
Control the midfield
Finally, Kroos can dominate the midfield, create the chances, and control the tempo in the middle of the park. United have needed that in recent seasons, particularly last term, and Kroos move to the Premier League giants can fill that void.
He may not be a tough-tackling powerhouse but he can touch the ball in every attack, pick out the passes and move the ball fluidly.
