It’s fair to say that Liverpool’s season has been one of frustration once more, with an underachieving side that looks a million miles away from winning the Premier League title anytime soon.
Following a poor start to the season, the club decided to dispose of the services of former manager Brendan Rodgers and replace him with former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp.
Since Klopp has come in those same players have continued to give what can only be described as sub standard performances and thoughts are already turning to players the club can bring in to rebuild during the summer.
The likes of players Klopp has previously worked with have been mentioned, but before he can bring anyone new in he will have to clear the decks and release funds for new blood.
Our landlord has been in a deep conversation with a group of Liverpool fans this evening on The Transfer Tavern and discussing which players they think will leave the club during the summer.

Mario Balotelli
The controversial Italian arrived at Anfield following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona and it’s fair to say he has been a disappointment since he arrived at the club.
Lacklustre performances for the club have seen him loaned back to Italy, where he is currently fairing no better with AC Milan.
With Balotelli on astronomical wages at Anfield, he looks as though he could be set for a summer move away from Anfield as Klopp looks to clear the decks.
Jose Enrique
The Spaniard turned down a transfer window move to Newcastle United, opting to stay and run down his contract at Anfield.
Making just a couple of appearances for the club this season, it’s fair to say that his Liverpool days are numbered. He’s another who will know doubt be on a good wage at the club, who Klopp will release upon the expiry of his contract.
He seems to have lost his way and a new club could get the form back in a defender, who in his day was one of the best left backs in the Premier League.
Adam Bogdan
A summer arrival from Bolton Wanderers, Adam Bogdan has flattered to deceive during his time with the club.
Inconsistent performances between the posts for the club and a few howlers have lost the trust of the Liverpool faithful. A low point for the goalkeeper this season was against League Two Exeter City, when he was beaten direct from a corner.
With the lack of confidence in the player, Bogdan would be better off trying to rebuild his career elsewhere in the summer.
Kolo Toure
The big Ivorian is yet another player who is out of contract at the end of the season and could be set for a summer exit away from the club.
Chances have been limited for Toure this season, who has been restricted to just 13 starts, and with Klopp eager to shore things up at the back, an offer for the defender may not be forthcoming.
Toure joined Liverpool from Manchester City during the summer of 2013 and has been linked with possible moves to America.
Joe Allen
A mixed season for the Welshman so far could see him leave the club during the summer.
Brought to the club from Swansea City by former manager Brendan Rodgers, he came with a big reputation as a box to box midfielder but has flattered to deceive during his time at the club.
Swansea would be interested in bringing their former player back should Klopp decide to get rid of the Welshman in the summer.
Daniel Sturridge
The England striker could be made to pay for his injury prone nature during the summer, with Klopp running out of patience.
On his day, Sturridge can be one of the most formidable attackers in the Premier League but a constant run of bad injuries leads to concern. He will score goals but he’s likely to miss more games than his end of year tally.
West Ham were reportedly interested in making a move for the striker during the January window, and could be tempted back with a new offer should the decision be made to offload Sturridge during the summer.
Christian Benteke
The former Aston Villa striker has failed to deliver since his big money move from Villa Park during the summer.
With Liverpool in need of goals, Klopp will most probably be looking to cut his losses and scrape some money back in his efforts to sign a prolific striker for next season.
Six goals in 20 Premier League appearances is not good enough for a main striker at Anfield and displays which are nothing short of poor has left the exit door wide open for the Belgian international.
