There is reportedly plenty of interest in the forward, with Premier League outfits Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion also thought to be in the race for his signature. As such, the French club want at least €10m (£8.8m) to part ways with him.

This interest comes following a fantastic season for the centre-forward in Ligue 2, France’s second tier. In 26 games, he has managed 17 goals, as well as four assists. Those displays had put his side well in the race for promotion to the top tier of French football, with them having been in fifth place before football in the country was cancelled – he had actually scored 48.57% of all of their 35 goals.

The fee wanted is substantial, of that there is no doubt, but signing the striker would be a statement of intent from Steven Gerrard and Ross Wilson. Alfredo Morelos could well be on the way out of the door given the reported interest in him recently, and a new forward would be needed to replace him. 23-year-old Grbic could very well be that man.
