Many Liverpool fans rejoiced over the news that goalkeeper Adrian could leave the club in January.
The 33-year-old has become a deeply unpopular figure after his performance during his side’s shocking 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa earlier in the season.

Adrian has only featured once more this season which was during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against arch-rivals Everton at Goodison Park, and has averaged a match rating of just 5.86 (Whosc0red).
With this in mind, Ian Doyle of the Liverpool Echo (via Anfield Edition) revealed that the Spaniard’s time at Anfield is “coming to an end”, with his contract due to expire at the end of the 2020/21 campaign and no sign of an extension.

Because of this, supporters would be pleased to see the back of Adrian, who has seen his place in the squad taken by youngster Caoimhin Kelleher, who has put in some impressive performances in Alisson Becker’s absence.
