Liverpool: Fans hammer Adrian as comments emerge

Share

Adrian’s career at Liverpool so far has been mixed.

The Spaniard joined the Reds on a free transfer from West Ham last summer, and has had some good moments with the Anfield outfit. In particular, his save from Tammy Abraham’s penalty in the shootout against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup final helped his side claim the trophy.

However, more recently, he has been a liability in between the sticks. Against Chelsea in the FA Cup, he fumbled Willian’s shot into the net despite the Brazilian’s effort being straight at him, and his mistake against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League contributed to Jurgen Klopp’s men being dumped out of the competition.

The 33-year-old has been speaking about the game against Los Rojiblancos, and he believes that Atletico deserved to progress. He told DAZN via Goal.com: “Atletico played their game, they beat us in both games and they should have progressed because they deserved it.”

The Liverpool fans clearly see it differently – they believe he is to blame for the defeat rather than the opponents being better. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
