After Chelsea, It May Be A Blow To Manchester City for Signing A Teenage Defender

manchestercityopentrainingsessionpnx3yrkf8hrlIt may be another blow to the English clubs, if Manchester City is also penalized for signing a youth player. Just when Chelsea has been imposed a ban from signing any player for the next two years, Mark Hughes’ team may expect something similar or even severe in case they are proved guilty. According to Rennes, the French club, Eastlands had convinced the teenage defender to break his contract and join them, which the player did accept.

The young teenager had been on Manchester United’s radar. However, Clairefontaine Academy was adamant not to sell the talented French kid, who was supposed to be a part of the national youth team. For Hughes and the Manchester City fans, this is something to worry about as the case has been registered with FIFA and the player has been offered a pre-contract, which includes a full contract clause. According to sources at Clairefontaine Academy, the way the club did the agreement obviously would land the Manchester club in huge trouble.

For Hughes though, it is nothing to worry about at this moment, as it would take months, if not years, to get a ruling of this case. By that time, one can hope that Hughes would have a great team. However, the worrying part for English clubs would be in the way they approach players, as they really need to watch out!
