It just keeps on getting worse and worse, doesn’t it? Unless of course you are a Newcastle United fan that is.

Johnny Heitinga’s own goal won him a special badge, certificate and lolly pop from Clown School. A total lack of communication in the Everton penalty area put Newcastle exactly where David Moyes didn’t want them.

Taylor’s goal was a classy strike, a dipping volley that caught the ‘keeper just enough off his line to be a contender for goal of the season.

Jack Rodwell scored but Everton were out of their depth. Newcastle are on a roll but they are in desperate need to some more testing opposition that the sides they’ve faced so far this term.
