The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a strong end to the season. It’s been a mixed campaign so far, but a strong conclusion should be enough to seal a top-two finish.
It’s certainly been a solid rise over the last 3 or 4 years for the Red Devils, and Juan Mata – who is rated at £27 million by Transfer Markt – has been there witness it all. The Spaniard joined the club in 2014, and as revealed over on the official Man Utd Twitter page, his first goal came four years ago to this very day.

In response to the image, Man Utd fans have been quick to deliver their verdict, and it’s fair to say that there is a sense of familiarity amongst their responses.
Whilst some are saying that Mata has been underutilised, and others are saying that Mourinho doesn’t use him correctly, there is one thing that all fans can agree on – the Spaniard is an incredible player!
Several of Man Utd players, like Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku, would no doubt generate a lot of division amongst fans, but there is no sense of that for Mata.
