The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been urging their club to give young Reiss Nelson a new contract at the club. Nelson has been one of the club’s breakout players this season after impressing in the Europa League and domestic cups. Nelson was also given his Premier League debut in Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Palace and started on Sunday in the 3-2 win over Southampton.

Reiss Nelson is just one of a number of promising young English players who looks destined to reach the very top of the game. The youngster is yet to score his first senior goal for Arsenal this season but has notched eight times in ten Premier League 2 appearances with Arsenal’s U23 side, including an incredible run at the start of the season that saw him net six times in his first four games.
The versatile youngster can be deployed on either wing and in the number ten role and has already amassed 24 appearances for England’s youth sides, scoring 15 goals in the process. Nelson no doubt has plenty of clubs monitoring his progress and it wouldn’t be a shock to see him leave The Emirates for bigger things later in his career. For now, though, our local Gunners’ want to see him develop and continue to progress in an Arsenal shirt as they beg for their club to hand the talented youngster an improved deal.
