‘Announce someone lads’ - These Man Utd fans are making their demands clear on Twitter

It’s been a decent if unspectacular summer so far for Man Utd. The Red Devils have made a few major signings, some of whom were more exciting than others, and there’s no doubting that Fred is the biggest new name on the books at Old Trafford.

Given that Jose Mourinho’s men finished 2nd in the Premier League last season, they just need a bit of extra juice to be able to, ideally, catch up with Man City.

Whether that will happen or not remains to be seen, but it’s clear that a few Man Utd fans on Twitter are expecting that to happen over the coming weeks.

Over on Man Utd’s official Twitter page, they’ve been paying tribute to Jesse Lingard, but it’s fair to say that a few fans aren’t interested in doing that. Instead, they’re calling for an announcement on a new signing.

Different names are being called for. One wants Hirving Lozano, whilst another wants Alex Sandro. Kieran Tierney is also being eyed up, whilst Douglas Costa is also popular. Some Man Utd fans are simply hijacking the post to say their piece.

Whatever the case, it’s clear that signings are on the mind of the Red Devils online.
